Najeema Washington, Community Research Director

Najeema Washington joined the CCRAB team in February 2024 to lead efforts in building community capacity for citizen science and research around health and environmental justice concerns in the Charleston region. Her work will include engaging community residents around existing environmental research projects and create citizen leaders who will be empowered to impact lasting change in their communities.

BOARD

CCRAB is steered by an all-volunteer working board consisting of residents of environmental justice communities, environmental activists, environmental policy leaders, community organizers, civil and chemical engineers, city planners, business owners, retired nuclear and chemistry industry workers, researchers, educators, and scientists. CCRAB strives to have representation from all base communities on its board.
